LeAnn

LeAnn Eriksson started playing classical flute at the age of ten, and began learning wooden flute in 2003 through her long-running love affair with traditional Irish/Celtic music. She also plays bansuri (Indian bamboo flutes) and Irish whistles. Although she has never formally studied shakuhachi, her many years living in Japan also have an influence on Wavegarden's music. LeAnn has played and sung in various folk, rock, and classical groups over the years, most recently as a member of the Irish traditional band Currach. LeAnn began singing as a child and has performed with several symphony orchestras as a member of the University Musical Society Choral Union, a Grammy-winning ensemble based in Michigan. When she's not on the road, she can usually be found in Bonn.
